Motherhood is a ministry because moms respond daily to God’s
call to care for His children created and loved by Him. M.O.M.S. are
a group of St. Mel moms and children who gather twice a month to share
faith, friendship, prayer, God’s Word, and their ministry of
motherhood in a nurturing and supportive environment. The program
gives their children an opportunity to play, make new friends, and
pray.
M.O.M.S. meet together to reflect, to share stories, and to realize
the sacredness of the call to motherhood. They come to a deeper awareness
of how in caring for their children, they are responding to Jesus’ call
to “feed the hungry...clothe the naked…” (Mt. 25)
M.O.M.S. encourages moms to nurture their children’s faith and
to learn from their children’s simple trust and love for God
and Jesus.
