You are invited to participate in this rewarding service as we celebrate
the Eucharist. Those involved in this ministry serve at many types
of Masses.
Ministers of Hospitality, consisting of ushers and greeters, are
represented by men and women of all age groups. This ministry would
be particularly gratifying for the young adults and youth of our parish.
Ministers of Hospitality create an inviting atmosphere for the celebration
of the Mass. Through every step of the Mass the ministers are there
to guide and support the flow of the Mass.
How we serve:
- Extend a feeling of hospitality to all who join us for the Eucharistic
celebration.
- Welcome parishioners and visitors as they enter.
- Be alert for new members, visitors, strangers or the aged.
- Escort parishioners and visitors to open seating.
- Introduce newcomers to others present.
- Collect the offerings.
- Select persons to bring the gifts of bread and wine.
- Facilitate the communion procession.
- Hand out weekly bulletins at the end of Mass .
- Be an ever-present resource to assist should special needs arise.
